A massive controversy has erupted over a video of Congress President Rahul Gandhi. The video is of Rahul Gandhi’s speech at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, the National University of Singapore, where he was cornered by Professor PK Basu, the author of ‘Asia Reborn’ over economic slowdown in UPA’s regime.
In the question-answer round, the professor asked the Congress President that
“Why is it so that in Congress regime, the per capita income has been always lower and lower than average per capita income of world but when you relinquished the government, the per capita income increased sharply.”
In the actual video, Rahul Gandhi dodged the question, however, the official handle of Congress has tweeted out a video, in which Rahul Gandhi can be seen wittily answering the question. The handle captioned the clip as, “With political discourse hitting new lows everyday, Congress President Rahul Gandhi shows how to gracefully handle detractors and call their bluff.”
Now, the professor has claimed that the video tweeted out by the Congress party is doctored and he has also threatened to sue Rahul Gandhi.
Rahul Gandhi is on a three-day visit to Singapore and Malaysia from March 8 to 10.
